Wafer Making Machine Operator

Minimum Graduate from ITI

Minimum 0-2 years of experience in a relevant field

The tasks a Wafer Baking Machine Operator (Baking) is expected to perform include:

Operating the wafer-making machine for moulding the dough and baking it into wafers

Filling the hopper machine with dough

Starting the machine and turning the set screw to regulate the amount of dough deposited in the mould

Turning the thermostat to adjust the temperature of the moulds

Observing the colour of the baked wafers being ejected onto the conveyor to detect defects

Collecting the wafer sheets from the machine and placing them on the clean smooth table

Tending to the machine which also rolls the dough into the shape of cones prior to baking

Arranging the cut wafer biscuits in the wafer stacking tray systematically

Ability to operate a pallet jack and other material handling equipment

Ability to maintain a high standard of cleanliness

Skilled in operating moulds

Skilled in racking the baked products in order

Ability to perform repetitive motions

Knowledge of temperature control methods and requirements

Knowledge of the latest procedures followed in baking
