The tasks an Eliminator Attendant, Sugar is expected to perform include:

Boiling the sulphurized juice or syrup received after sulphitation to remove certain impurities

Opening the valve to let the juice or syrup into the tank, up to the prescribed level

Opening the steam valve to heat the coils and boiling the juice or syrup by maintaining the temperature of the juice or syrup at the specified level

Checking the temperature of the juice/syrup periodically with a thermometer

Loosening the steam valve after boiling for the prescribed period

Operating the valve to discharge the boiled juice or syrup into the settling tanks

Opening the bottom valve of the tank to drain the sediments in to another tank

Taking samples of clean juice/syrup in test tubes to check them for the desired clarity

Basic knowledge of filtering techniques

Skilled in understanding the criticality and maintaining the desired temperature

In-depth knowledge of the sedimentation process

Knowledge of assessing and examining the final product
