Syrup Mixing Plant Operator

The tasks a Syrup Mixing Plant Operator is expected to perform include:

Operating the syrup mixing plant for making cold drinks and aerated water

Opening the valve to admit the syrup up to the prescribed level in the mixing chamber

Switching on the mixing chamber agitator for adding essence, colour, etc. To the syrup

Continuing the mixing for the specified time and getting samples tested, if necessary

Operating the valves and pump to admit cold water into the cooler

Transferring the solution from the mixing chamber to the bottling plant through coolers

Preparing a solution of weighed quantity of soda-bi-carbonate with water, and filtering and mixing it with treated water in the mixing chamber

Pumping it directly to the bottling plant for making soda water

Washing the mixing chambers with hot water after the preparation of each batch of solution

Keeping a record of the quantity of solution prepared

Keeping the shop floor clean and assisting in periodical repairs

Mixing the essence, dye, etc. in the mixing chamber

Skilled in operating the mixing chamber

Knowledge of essence and colour in order to get best results

Knowledge of operating valves

Skilled in analyzing the solution while it is being prepared

In-depth knowledge of soda-bi-carbonate and its reactions

Skilled in cleaning and washing the chamber

Knowledge of artificial colouring techniques

Skilled in record keeping
