Carbonator Machine Operator

The tasks a Carbonator Machine Attendant is expected to perform include:

Operating carbon dioxide gas purifier cylinders and the carbonator plant to pass a specified volume of gas to the bottle filling plant

Connecting a carbon dioxide cylinder with the pipeline of purifying cylinders, containing potassium permanganate water, activated carbon or any other suitable material

Adjusting the valve of the carbonator plant

Opening the valve of the carbon dioxide cylinder with a spanner

Allowing gas (carbon dioxide) to pass through the purifying cylinders and the carbonator plant and hence filling the machine

Monitoring the pressure gauge reading and adjusting the gas valve or replacing the cylinder to regulate the flow of gas

Spraying hot water on the carbon-dioxide cylinder to vaporise liquid carbon dioxide in the cylinder

Feeding crowns into the crowning machine hopper

Knowledge of production processes and quality control

Ability to troubleshoot the machine when required

Knowledge of relevant tools and equipment

Skilled in managing and handling valves

Knowledge of the amount of carbon to be added in the drink

Knowledge of the various steps and stages leading to the filling of the machine
