The tasks a Noodle Press Operator is expected to perform include:

Operating machine to blend ingredients, knead, extrude, and cut dough used to make noodles

Installing specified die in press, using hand tools

Adjusting press rollers to regulate thickness of dough, using micrometre and hand tools

Dumping pre-measured quantity of eggs into tub

Setting metre and turning spigot to admit prescribed amount of water

Starting beater to mix eggs and water for specified time

Starting pumps to transfer mixture to mixing unit of press

Opening hopper to admit flour into mixing unit and starting press to process mixture

Controlling screw to set speed of knives to cut product to specified length

Patrolling drying chambers

Observing readings of temperature and humidity

Reporting chart variations to manager

Recording type of product, date and time of entry and discharge of product from drying chambers

Knowledge of safety and hygiene regulations

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes and quality control

Skilled in controlling/handling speed of knives

Skilled in mixing the required quantity of ingredients

Knowledge of policies, procedures and strategies to promote quality product

Skilled in monitoring gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure machine is working properly
