The tasks a Works Poor Attendant is expected to perform include:

Tending works poor machine to cool massacuite to required temperature before being pumped to respective centrifugal machine for separating sugar crystals

Opening valve from crystallizer and allowing massacuite to flow into works poor machine up to prescribed level

Pressing hand lever to start stirrers in machine

Checking and ensuring running of cold water through tubes inside machine

Preventing solidification of massacuite by diluting with water, if necessary

Regulating flow of massacuite from works poor into pump feeding centrifugal machine

Skilled in operating the works poor machine

Knowledge of criticality of temperature required in quality of final output

Familiar with massacuite and its properties

Skilled in preventing the massacuite from solidifying

Basic knowledge of working of centrifugal machine
