The tasks a Bottling Plant Incharge is expected to perform include:

Setting, adjusting and operating washing, filling, bottling, mixing, crowning and other machines in an aerated water factory or brewery

Ensuring automatic and thorough washing of bottles

Disconnecting supply lines and trial running various machines for the testing of proper filling, making necessary adjustments in the machines

Connecting the supply line for feeding of purified water (in the aerated water plant) or beer (in the beer bottling plant)

Starting the machine by operating the lever, regulating the air pressure to ensure uniform filling of the bottles

Setting and operating various other machines, adjusting levers, gears, gauges, pressure and temperature controls for proper mixing, crowning and sorting of the bottles

Co-ordinating and guiding the workers to maintain the stipulated production, remove defects and minimize wastages

Repairing, maintaining and overhauling the machinery and equipment

Attending to the water treatment plant for purifying the water

Setting up the carbon dioxide gas purifier, carbonator plant, bottling plant and related equipment, if engaged in the aerated water factory

Skilled in setting, operating and maintaining all the machines and equipment in the bottling plant

Skilled in washing of bottles with zero residues or impurities

Skilled in crowning and sorting the bottles according to their respective sizes

Basic knowledge of troubleshooting techniques in a machine

Knowledge of adequate methods of removing defected bottles

Knowledge of purifying the water in a treatment plant

Basic knowledge of operating a carbon dioxide purifier
