Operator Syrup Making Plant

Minimum ITI Diploma

Minimum experience of 3-8 years in a relevant field

The tasks a Syrup Plant Operator is expected to perform include:

Pumping the syrup through the filter press and chiller for filtration

Cooling and onward transmitting the syrup to the mixing chamber

Setting the volume, meter, and fitting them to the steam-heated closed pan or vessel

Operating the valve to a known volume of water inside the heating chamber

Operating the valve to let steam into the coils of the heating pan

Switching on the stirrer and adding the required quantity of sugar to the heated water

Observing the recordings of the syrup by manually dipping the thermometer in it

Ensuring that the heating pan is full to the specified level to form homogenous solutions

Changing the filter papers, if necessary

Setting the filter press and chiller as per the set up

Heating the sugar solution up to the prescribed temperature

Opening the discharge valve of the heating pan and switching on the pump to force the syrup (sugar solution) through the filter press

Ensuring proper filtration and cooling

Washing and cleaning the heating pan

Filtering the press chiller and pipe lines after the preparation of each batch of syrup, by passing hot water through whole system

Knowledge of the entire process of manufacturing syrup

Skilled in filtering the syrup

Knowledge of the different parameters in the process like temperature, pressure, etc.

Skilled in operating the syrup plant

Equipped to perform the cleaning and basic maintenance of the plant
