The tasks a Carbonation Man is expected to perform include:

Tending to the carbonation tanks to purify the sugarcane juice by mixing the heated juice with milk of lime and carbon dioxide with a view to precipitating the mud and impurities from it

Admitting the heated juice in the first carbonation tank up to the overflow-pipe level

Admitting and controlling the flow of the prescribed quantity of milk of lime into the juice

Letting in the continuous flow of carbon dioxide and allowing the ingredients to mix thoroughly

Testing the solution with testing paper to determine the sufficiency of the ingredients

Making adjustments to ensure the correct composition of the mixture, if necessary

Discharging the carbonated juice into the storage tank for onward pumping to the filter press

Repairing or overhauling the pipe line, tank and other equipment

Passing and adjusting the flow of carbon dioxide into the juice flowing into the second carbonation tank after the first filtration

Testing the solution with testing paper and allowing the juice to flow off for a second heating

Knowledge of operating and tending to the carbonation tank

Basic knowledge of the milk of lime preparation

Skilled in using milk of lime for cleaning the machine

Skilled in checking the p

H level of the solution, using p

H paper

Knowledge of the appropriate amount of carbon dioxide to be used in the process

Basic repairing and overhauling skills

These facts are evident in proving that the jobs in this industry are going to manifold in the future and the career of Carbonation Man will have a great chance to grow in the future.
