Minimum experience of 1 year in a relevant field

The tasks a Filterman is expected to perform include:

Operating controls of the filtration plant to filter beer, and to remove sediments and impurities

Attaching pulp filter pads in the filter machine

Opening the valve to pass beer through it

Maintaining the correct pressure of liquor

Adjusting the gauges and valves, and removing the filter, cakes and pads

Cleaning the equipment in hot water for re-use

Flushing the equipment with hot water and sterilising the same with steam

Knowledge of the processes involved in the filtration of beer

Skilled in operating the filtration plant

Proficient in maintaining the correct pressure of liquor

Skilled in using equipment like gauges, valves, etc.

Efficient in keeping the equipment clean

Basic knowledge of manufacturing beer
