Minimum experience of 2 to 4 years in a relevant field

The tasks a Centrifugal Man is expected to perform include:

Operating the centrifugal machine for separating the sugar crystals from the massacuite

Operating the lever to lower the delivery channel

Ensuring that the required quantity of massacuite is pumped from the crystallizer/workspoor into the container of the centrifugal machine

Closing the sliding top covers of the centrifuge

Allowing the sliding top to develop speed so that it spins the massacuite at a high speed

Separating the syrup or molasses from the crystals which adhere to the walls of the container

Spraying the water with a hose or manipulating the valve for automatic spray, to wash the sugar once or twice during operation for developing the massacuite

Stopping the machine and scraping off the sugar from the walls of the centrifugal container with a wooden scraper, manipulating the worm and worm shaft

Roping the scraped off sugar into a magma mixer or conveyor according to the type of massacuite operated

Feeding the massacuite into the centrifugal machine

Skilled in operating the centrifugal machine

Knowledge of the whole process involved in separating the sugar crystals from the massacuite

Skilled in using scraping instruments like a wooden scraper, and manipulating the worm and worm shaft

Basic knowledge of the entire process of sugar manufacturing

Knowledge of the different parameters of the centrifugal machine like speed, measurement, etc.

The Food Industry in India

The Indian Brand Equity Foundation in their report on the food industry of India have referred to this industry as the highest profit incurring sector considering the scope it has to offer for value addition. In particular the food processing industry in India has been recognized as a high-priority area. This is because the food processing industry is one of the largest industries in India and is ranked fifth in terms of production, consumption, export and expected growth.

The latest figures have revealed that the total food production in India is likely to double in the next 10 years as the country?s domestic food market is estimated to reach US$ 258 billion by 2015.

Considering all the world data the Indian food and grocery market is the world?s sixth largest with its retail contributing 70 per cent of the sales. It is projected to grow at the rate of 104 per cent, touching US$ 482 billion by 2020. This indicates a vast scope for both investors and exporters.

India is the largest consumer of sugar in the world and consumes around 16 million tonnes of sugar per annum. The Indian sugar industry has a total turnover of INR 500 billion per annum and contributes almost INR 22.5 billion to the central and state exchequer as tax, cess, and excise duty every year according to the sources of Ministry of Food and Government of India.

Given these figures it is safe to say that the demand for a Centrifugal Man is there in the present and will surely increase in the coming years.
