The tasks a Peanut Blancher is expected to perform include:
Tending blanching machine that removes skins from shelled peanuts
Starting machine and pouring peanuts into machine hopper
Inspecting peanuts as they fall from machine onto moving belt
Picking out foreign matter, un-blanched peanuts and peanuts that fail to meet production specifications
Sacking blanched peanuts
Tending and sorting machine that electronically locates and removes un-blanched peanuts
Knowledge of safety and hygiene regulations
Knowledge of production processes and quality control
Skilled in differentiating blanched and un-blanched peanuts
Basic knowledge of packing techniques
Skilled in monitoring gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure machine is working properly
Basic knowledge of routine maintenance process of the machine
