The tasks a Supervisor and Foreman, Brewing, Aerated Water and Beverage Making is expected to perform include:
Supervising and guiding workers engaged in making beer, liquors, syrup, aerated water and other types of drinks and beverages
Ensuring that the standard quality of production is maintained as per the prescribed standards
Arranging for necessary materials and ingredients
Guiding the workers in various operations such as brewing, mashing, fermenting and filtering
Making syrups and sherbets according to the nature of production
Getting samples tested while processing and directing the necessary adjustments and modifications
Enforcing safety measures that are in compliance with excise and related rules and regulations
Ensuring the standard quality of production
Maintaining the records and registers
Submitting the prescribed returns
Setting machines and equipment according to the nature of production or section to be supervised
Efficient in supervising activities involved in making beverages and other related products
Skilled in activities like filling bottles, injecting carbon dioxide into the filled bottles, bottling, etc.
Skilled in processes like brewing, mashing, fermenting and filtering
Knowledge of all the input that goes in the making of syrups and sherbets
Detailed knowledge of excise and related rules and regulations, prescribed percentage of alcohol content, etc.
Proficient in strategic planning, plant operations, production planning and control maintenance operations
