Certified training for Blade Sawing Supervisor (programme aligned to G&J/Q 4404 released by Gem & Jewellery Skills Council of India)

Minimum of 3 yearsexperience in blade sawing

The task a Blade Sawing Supervisor is expected to perform include: Monitoring the work of Blade Sawyers and other helpers

Ability to take on-the-spot decisions e.g. in the case of machine breakdown

Dexterity of the hands

Good eyesight

In-depth knowledge of diamond proportions/symmetry, internal diamond structures (graining, etc.)

Working understanding of the machinery involved and its repair work

Ability to work with high noise generating machinery

Ability to identify individual team member?s strengths Leadership qualities
