Minimum ? ITI graduates with Mechanical Engineering

Certified training for Plastic Moulding Shop Supervisor(programme aligned to ASC/Q 4403 released by Automotive Skills Development Council)

Minimum 10-12 years of experience in a press shop for candidates with ITI training

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a press shop for candidates with a diploma

The tasks a Plastic Moulding Shop Supervisor is expected to perform include:

Supervising the PVC moulding and extrusion activities

Conducting quality checks on output products

Deploying manpower as per requirement

Guiding Operators and Technicians to complete the assigned task

Ensuring conformance to pre-moulding process activities

Providing inputs for process improvement initiatives

Managing manpower and material in the shift/process

Knowledge of different parameters pertinent to moulding process and the impact of different parameters on the process output

Basic knowledge of various types of plastics like thermoplastics/thermosetting plastics and the additives to be used

Familiar with different types of tools and machinery to mould the plastic and trim the output

Knowledge of different types of cleaning techniques and associated equipment

Basic knowledge of various types of coolants and their properties

Familiar with geometry and dimension measurement of the product output

Knowledge of reading sketches and engineering drawings

Skilled in visualizing the final product output and hence deciding on the key steps to be followed

Basic knowledge of various standards required for the moulding process

Basic knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for the extrusion/moulding machines

Knowledge of principles of geometric drawing and tolerances

Knowledge of how to inspect finished goods and use measuring instruments like Vernier callipers, micrometres, etc.

Familiar with types of defects in output components and impact of the defect on the overall equipment operations

Familiar with various problems solving tools like TOPS 8D 7QC, Why Analysis, brainstorming, etc.

Knowledge of raw material requirements for the processes

Skilled in operating the machine in both, automatic and manual mode

Manual dexterity

Knowledge of:Latest moulding and extrusion techniques available in the market5S and safety aspects

Working hours

Working is 9 hours everyday for 6 days a week
