Metal Making Supervisor

Minimum 12th pass

Preferably minimum experience of 1 year as a supervisor in a metal making/refining plant

The tasks a Supervisor and Foreman, Metal Making, Converting and Refining is expected to perform include:

Supervising and guiding workers engaged in various metal making and refining processes

Ensuring efficient production

Guiding workers in setting up and controlling furnaces according to type of metal to be made

Mixing of chemicals and ingredients for making alloys, controlling furnace flue, water circulation, tapping, pouring, casting and other operations

Arranging stock of raw materials, tools, equipment and accessories

Checking plants and equipment and getting defects removed

Maintaining records,registers and submitting prescribed returns

Basic knowledge of various refining techniques

Skilled in operation and control techniques

Knowledge of all the tools and equipment used in metal making, converting and refining

Basic knowledge of machines and tools

Basic knowledge of maintaining log books
