The tasks a Juice Clarification Supervisor is expected to perform include:

Co-ordinating and supervising all the operations connected with syrup making from raw juice

Supervising and checking the weighing or measuring of raw juice coming from the mill house

Ensuring correct maintenance of all records

Directing the heating, carbonation and filtration process in the production line

Supervising the operations of the lime kiln and sulphur furnace

Controlling the making of milk of lime and sulphur dioxide for clarifying the juice by a carbonation or sulphitation process

Checking the temperature and pressure of heaters, filters press and evaporators

Performing the other necessary functions related to the manufacturing of the specified type of juice and syrup

Maintaining the log book by giving hourly and daily operational details

Maintaining the equipment in working order

Checking the juice with the hydrometer and other indicators to maintain the specified standard

Knowledge of making the syrup from raw juice

Skilled in conducting processes like sulphitation, evaporation, etc.

Familiar with the process of testing the juice with the testing paper

Proficient in using a hydrometer and juice indicators

The Food Industry in India

Considering all the world data, the Indian food and grocery market is the world?s sixth largest with its retail contributing 70 per cent of the sales. It is projected to grow at a rate of 104 per cent, touching US$ 482 billion by 2020. This indicates a vast scope for both investors and exporters.
