Minimum experience of 1 year as a supervisor of a stationary engine

The tasks a Supervisor and Foreman, Stationary Engine and Related Equipment is expected to perform include:

Supervising performance and operation of stationary engines and related equipment

Checking stationary engines and mechanical equipment such as steam engines, air compressors etc.

Instructing workers to operate engines and equipment according to their respective working condition

Observing their performance by reading meters and gauges as well as by sight and sound

Directing stopping of malfunctioning engines and arranging for their repair

Supervising performance of workers operating the engines and ensuring their proper working

Arranging periodical maintenance and overhauling of machines

Maintaining records and registers

Conducting repairs during emergency

Working knowledge of stationary engines

Skilled in repairing and maintaining equipment

Basic knowledge of meters and gauges

Proficient in maintaining log books and maintenance registers
