Production Supervisor

Minimum ? Graduate preferably

Certified training for Production Supervisor - Sewing (programme aligned to AMH/Q 2101 released by Apparel Made ? Ups Home Furnishing)

Minimum - Preferably 2-3 years of work experience in stitching or sampling division of any apparel manufacturing company

The tasks a Production Supervisor-Sewing is expected to perform include:

Guiding activities of operators and/or other employees engaged in the process of manufacturing, inspection, processing and related activity

Planning and allocating resources

Monitoring schedules

Providing solutions to problems that affect the desired output and organisational goals

Training employees for continual improvement and to achieve the organisational objectives.

Determining the effective ways in which a product or service in sewing line can be created

Performing analysis of the sewing method and the process

Providing supervision to the production floor for efficiency improvement

Determining the production target

Analysing the performance on sewing floor

Understanding production specification and process

Co-ordinating and planning production as per specifications and schedule

Executing and monitoring production as per the plan, schedule and quality norms

Knowledge of the manufacturing processes

Knowledge of skill and proficiency level requirement for each operation

Skilled in operating machines and basic trouble shooting

Knowledge of raw material defects and handling defects

Knowledge of how to identify the process and product problem

Knowledge of fabrics and garments, the stitching process, sewing and the various types of stitching required for various products

Familiar with the machinery and work aids used in the process

Familiar with stitching defects and handling defects

Knowledge of quality and compliance requirement

Skilled in basic arithmetic and numeric calculations for analysis related to work

Knowledge of statistical quality control systems and their applications

Familiar with Quality Management Systems

Training in apparel production/apparel manufacturing technology

Good analytical skills

Good communication skills

Hardworking

Attention to detail

It is not a desk job

Need not handle a team

Local travelling is not a part of this job role
