Minimum of 3 yearsexperience in diamond blocking

The task a Blocking Supervisor is expected to perform include: Monitoring the work of blockers

Dexterity of the hands

Good eyesight

Ability to work with high noise generating machinery

Ability to clearly understand concepts such as geometry of diamonds, internal diamond structures (graining, etc.), technology being used, maintenance aspect of tools and machines, etc.Ability to guide operators and provide direction in case of queries from operators

Ability to identify individual team member?s strengths

Good eyesight, a sharp mind and physical strength

Working hours

Most companies usually work for 6 days a week and 8 hours every day. This may vary from company to company. Shift system may be available in some organizations
