The tasks a Gold Refiner is expected to perform include:

Recovering gold from scrap using refining techniques

Knowledge of metallurgy and purity measurement

Ability to identify the type of refining process to be used

Ability to accurately compute the quantity of different solutions required

Knowledge of separating base metals from precious metals

Ability to optimize the recovery and refining of gold

Ability to maintain the refining plant

Ability to ensure zero accidents while handling chemicals and molten metal

Ability to manage the refining process

Knowledge of various refining methodologies

Ability to anticipate process disruption

Patience
