Certified training for Wax Setter (Basic) (programme aligned to G&J/Q2707 released by Gem and Jewellery Skill Council India)

Freshers or a minimum of 6 months' work experience/internship in casting units

The tasks a Wax Setter (Basic) is expected to perform include:

Setting diamonds and gemstones in wax replica of jewellery as per design requirement

Dexterity of the hands

Good eyesight

Basic knowledge of wax piece handling

Basic knowledge of diamond and gemstone handling

Working knowledge of relevant tools and equipment

Ability to spot defects in wax pieces and breakage in diamonds

Patience

Integrity

Ability to work independently

Good communication skills

Team spirit

Multi-tasking ability

Decision-making skills

Attention to detail

It is a bench work job

Need not handle a team

Travelling is not required

Part-time work and contractual work is available

Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Most companies usually work for 6 days a week and 8 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company.

Shift system maybe available in some organizations.
