The tasks a Manual Bruter is expected to perform include:

Creating the round girdle of the diamond and giving a conical shape to the pavilion and crown area

Dexterity of the hands

Good eyesight

Sharp mind

Physical strength

Ability to work with high noise generating machinery

Ability to clearly understand concepts such as the geometry of diamonds, internal diamond structures (graining, etc.), technology being used, the maintenance aspects of tools and machines, etc.

Diamonds cut and polished in India are of world-class quality. 11 out of 12 diamonds set in jewellery globally are cut and polished in India. This means there will be an increase in the demand for Manual Bruter over the coming years.
