Certified training for Boiling In-Charge (programme aligned to G&J/Q 4808 released by the Gem & Jewellery Skills Council of India)

A minimum of 6 months of work experience/on-the-job training in diamond processing units

The task a Boiling In-Charge is expected to perform include: Placing the finished diamonds in a caustic solution

Basic understanding of the relevant equipment and tools Understanding of the safety practices while working with chemicals and machines

Ability to adapt to technology-driven processes

Regular preventive maintenance of machines and basic breakdown maintenance

Presence of mind while working with machines and chemicals.

Diamonds cut and polished in India are of world class quality. 11 out of 12 diamonds set in jewellery globally are cut and polished in India. This means the demand for Boiling In-Charge will increase.
