Certified training for Manual Bruter (programme aligned to G&J/Q 4505 released by the Gem & Jewellery Skills Council of India)

Minimum 6 monthswork experience/on-the-job training

The tasks a Manual Bruter is expected to perform include:

Creating the round girdle of the diamond and giving a conical shape to the pavilion and crown area

Dexterity of the hands

Good eyesight

Sharp mind

Physical strength

Ability to work with high noise generating machinery

Ability to clearly understand concepts such as the geometry of diamonds, internal diamond structures (graining, etc.), technology being used, the maintenance aspects of tools and machines, etc.

Knowledge of the types of diamond inclusions

Working hours

Most companies usually work for 6 days a week and 8 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company
