The tasks a Solder Masking & Legend Printing Operator is expected to perform include:Pre-cleaning PCB panels

Setting and operating the solder masking machine

Drying the panels to harden the resist

Imaging the panels

Operating the oven

Checking visually the soldered mask PCB

Knowledge of basic electronics and components

Well-versed with functioning of solder masking machine

Well-versed with concept, significance and technology involved in solder masking

Knowledge of types of solder masks and inks

Proficient in operation of pre-cleaning of solder masking machine and oven

Well-versed with types and applications of ink jet printing

Proficient in coating techniques, handling the copper plate, chemical, temperature, etc.Adept in recognizing common masking defects and achieving zero defect solder masking

Proficient in handling chemicals and solvents safely

Knowledge of general PCB design process, manufacturing process, component and system level testing

Well-versed with defects in machines and causes

Knowledge of IPC standards for printed circuit board
