Strategic Electronics market in India

Rapid advances in strategic electronics have radically changed the course of the industry and business. With the government all set to provide hitherto unbelievable licences, this industry is expected to be a minefield for entrepreneurs.

According to the "Human Resource and Skill Requirements in the Electronics & IT Hardware Sector (2022)" report, the Strategic Electronics sector has the potential to grow at a Compounded Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of about 20% till 2022, which is going to be higher than the GDP in India. This will have a positive impact for the job roles falling under this sector.

The IMaCS analysis reveals that the human resource requirement in the Strategic Electronics sector has been projected to grow from 1,28,000 in 2012 to 4,74,000 in 2022 - that is an increment of 3,46,000 resources.

One of the job roles that will have a large positive impact of all these trends is that of an Electronic Sub-assembly Technician.
