Certified training for Coating, Curing and Marking Operator (programme aligned to ELE/Q0110 released by Electronics Sector Skills Council)

The tasks a Coating, Curing and Marking Operator is expected to perform include:Spraying zinc or aluminium oxide coating on the capacitor Coating the resistor with acrylic or silicon material

Checking the components visually for even spread of coat/spray and any defects

Curing the component in furnace or oven for stabilising

Marking or printing specifications on the outer finished surface of the component

Familiarity with different types of coating processes, materials, their properties and implications

Proficiency in basic programming, setting up and loading of the machines

Familiarity with types, properties and handling of various raw materials used for the process

Proficiency in using hand tools and machines for component preparation

Knowledge of different types of resistors and capacitors, their properties and application

Proficiency in testing various parameters of capacitors and resistors and variance

Knowledge of FIFO system of inventory control

Skilled in maintenance of various tools and equipment used during component preparation

Computer literacy and ability to maintain logs, read job sheets, production schedules and operations manuals

The growth of electronic components depends on the growth of the other constituents of IT Hardware and Electronics sector to which it supplies.
