The tasks an UPS Assembly Operator is expected to perform include:

Assembling and wiring UPS components, modules or sub-assemblies and systems

Using the drawing accurately to ensure conformance to specifications

Achieving zero errors and zero damage as per company standards

Achieving daily and monthly production targets

Carrying out preventive maintenance of equipment as per specifications

Proficient in electro-mechanical assembly of small, industrial and online UPSWell-versed with various types of UPS, their applications and design

Knowledge of basic principles of wiring, circuitry and functioning of different modules of the UPSKnowledge of surge suppression filter, voltage regulator and inverter Proficient in using tools and equipment required during the assembly process

Well-versedin using drawings and specifications to assemble the UPS unit

Knowledge of basic concepts of electronics, electricity and component identification

Well-versed with the latest technological advancements

Well-versed with sine wave and square wave forms of power supply and conversion from one to the other Knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD)Proficient in maintaining 5S at the work premises and Kaizen

Knowledge of computer literacy and ability to read production schedules, job sheets, operations manuals and instructions on product label

Future Trends for Electronics and IT Hardware Sector in India

The Indian Electronics and IT Hardware sector has 6 key segments, namely Consumer Electronics,Industrial Electronics, IT Hardware, Telecommunication Equipment, Electronic Components, andStrategic Electronics. Consumer Electronics and Telecom Equipment is the largest segment withabout 27% share each in total production.
