Electrical Technician

Minimum Preferably 10th standard pass

Certified training for Electrical Technician (programme aligned to ELE/Q6301 released by Electronics Sector Skills Council of India)

The tasks an Electrical Technician is expected to perform include:Integrating modules and sub-parts to form the electronic system of the product

Collecting assembled PCBs and consumables needed for the assembly process

Inspecting the boards and components received for any physical damage, any loose or wrong connections

Recording faults and passing the board on to the PCB assembly team for re-work

Knowledge of electro-mechanical assembly instructions

Well-versed with circuit design, block diagram of the product being assembled and functioning of its different modules

Proficient in fundamentals of electricity such as Ohms Law, difference between AC and DC, series and parallel connections

Knowledge of basic components such as diode, transformer, LED, photo transistor, capacitor, resistor, inductor, thermistor, ICs

Adept in reading values of resistors, capacitors, diodes and integrated circuits with specific reference to colour coding, polarity, orientation, tolerance

Well-versed in PCB design

Adept in soldering skills

Knowledge of frequently occurring errors in the assembly process, causes and preventive measure

Adept at handling different electrical and mechanical products
