The tasks a Routing Operator is expected to perform include: Performing the pre-routing process
Programing the computerized numerical control (CNC) machine
Operating the machine and performing routing
Checking the routed boards visually
Undertaking preventive maintenance of CNC machine
Knowledge of basic electronics and components
Well-versed with CNC machine program loading
Adept to use tools e.g. table saws, routers, lathes, mills, etc.Knowledge of concepts of CNC machining and G-code language
Proficiency in hand breaking, pizza cutter, V-cut, punch, router, sawing, laser and other de-panelling, cutting techniques
Well-versed with basic geometry and the Cartesian coordinate system
Well-versed with production routing tooling
Knowledge of use of standard hand tools for executing machine and tooling maintenance
Knowledge of hazardous coolants and lubricants for machine cooling and maintenance
Well-versed with the defects in machines and remedies with causes
Proficient with IPC standards for printed circuit boards
