The tasks a Box Filling Machine Operator (Match) is expected to perform include:

Operating the box filling machine which automatically fills match boxes with prescribed number of match sticks

Monitoring the movement of open boxes over chain, filling of specific number of sticks in boxes and closing of filled boxes

Ensuring that the filled and closed boxes are collected at delivery end and are removed for further processing

Undertaking machine cleaning and maintenance work

Knowledge of operating box filling machine

Proficiency in checking feeding of empty match boxes into moving chain plate of machine

Adept at feeding magazine of machine with sticks in required order of arrangement by removing bottom plate of tray

Proficiency in maintaining continuous feed of magazine with arranged match sticks and stopping machine when operation is completed

Well-versed with spotting and removing unfilled and damaged boxes

Proficiency in undertaking minor adjustment in machine and other machine maintenance work
