The tasks a Tablet Coater is expected to perform include:

Coating compressed tablets or pills with syrup or other substance to preserve ingredients and make them palatable

Filling coating pot or pan of machine with tablets or pills

Pouring measure quantity of syrup or other coating substance on tablets

Starting pot revolving to coat tablets with syrup or coating substance

Operating machine to rotate pot for required time to ensure even coating

Checking that tablets are coated

Adding powder that adheres to tablets, polishing surface of coated tablets by rotating them in wax coated churn

Ability to set up machinery as per specification

Proficiency in managing tablet coating operation

Proficiency in maintaining records of output in own section and submitting reports to superiors

Well-versed with collecting material and other equipment

Adept at checking end-product with defined quantity and quality specifications

Proficiency in safety techniques and cleanliness to be followed
