The tasks a Mixing Machine Attendant, (Chemical) is expected to perform include:
Feeding and tending a machine to mix and blend different solid or liquid ingredients in required proportions
Weighing ingredients according to formulae or specification, and feeding prescribed quantities of ingredients into machine container by hand or by operating valves, pumps or mechanical loaders
Starting machine agitators to mix materials thoroughly
Adding further ingredients, if required
Running machine until mixing process is completed
Well-versed with removing mixture from machine container
Knowledge of cleaning machine and work area and preparing machine for fresh run
Adept at observing and reporting abnormalities in blending and mixing
Will be updated
Eye for detail
Good hand-eye co-ordination
Dexterity of hands
Ability to follow instructions
It needs one to be on their toes
Need not handle a team
Local travelling is not a part of this job role
Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities

Working hours
Factories usually work for 6 days a week and 8/10 hours every day. This may vary from factory to factory

Bulk chemicals form the largest sub-segment of Indian chemical industry with 40% market share whereas the specialty chemical with 19% market share is the fastest growing segment. Together, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh account for more than 50% of Gross Value Add (GVA) and Gross Output of the chemical and petrochemical industry in India.
The current per capita consumption of products of chemical industry in India is about 1/10th of the world average.
