The tasks a Hat Maker, General is expected to perform include: Making various kinds of hats by marking, cutting and sewing
Joining components and finishing them by trimming and decorating
Preparing own designs or copying and adapting existing designs
Marking and cutting materials according to pattern or own judgement
Smoothing, wiring and shaping hat parts and sewing them together
Adding trimmings and decorating hat as required
Making and altering hats to individual requirements
