Tailor Garment Designer

The tasks a Coat Maker is expected to perform include: Stitching of body garments by hand and machine

Joining garment parts together by basting

Ensuring that the parts are properly aligned

Inserting inner material and attaching lining as required

Carrying out alteration according to markings

Making button-holes

Stitching buttons and performing other finishing tasks

Pressing garment and supervising basting, filling, button holding, button stitching, etc.

Well-versed with different types of coat patterns for males and females

Knowledge about removing stitches from garments to be altered, using rippers or razor blades.Ability to estimate garment cost

Well-versed with taking measurements for different patterns

Proficiency in operating sewing machine

Well-versed with cutting and trimming of garments

Basic knowledge of latest trends in coat designs

Working hours

Working hours are for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company Shift system maybe available

Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible
