Tailor Shirt Designer

The tasks a Shirt Maker is expected to perform include:

Stitching together parts of shirts, under vests, pyjamas etc.

Stitching collars and cuffs

Making button-holes, stitching buttons and performing other finishing tasks

Pressing garments and supervising work of hand sewers

Well-versed with different types of shirt patterns for males and females

Efficient in removing stitches from garments to be altered, using rippers or razor blades

Ability to estimate garment cost

Well-versed with taking measurements for different patterns

Proficiency in operating sewing machine

Well-versed with cutting and trimming of garments

Basic knowledge of latest trends in shirt designs

Working hours

Working hours are for 5/6 days a week and 8/9 hours everyday. This may vary from company to company Shift system maybe available

Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, the working hours and days will be flexible
