The tasks a

Pattern Maker, Furis expected to perform include:

Preparing patterns and full-size canvas models of garments and other articles of fur to guide Cutters and Finishers

Drawing pattern on paper in accordance with garment design or customersmeasurements

Making canvas model of garment according to the pattern

Checking patterns and model for accuracy and making necessary alterations

Passingpatterns to garment Cutters or Finishers

Examining completed garment for defects

Cutting patterns for fur trimmings, accessories and other fur articles and for alteration of fur articles

Cutting patterns for fancy leather goods

Knowledge of the latest trends in designing

Skilled in tracing patterns on furs or other related garments

Ability to identify defects in the final products

Familiar with different tracing techniques on different types of clothes

Ability to alter defects, if any
