The tasks a Traffic Inspector Tram is expected to perform include:

Supervising work of Tram Conductors and Tram Car Driver to ensure operation of trams on schedule

Checking Conductor's memo by field inspection to ensure running of tram to scheduled time

Tallying tickets sold with recorded entry and tickets held by passengers travelling in trams to check and avoid over payment of fares or over travelling by passengers

Reporting complaints of poor service to higher authorities for action

Visiting sites of accidents or breakdown and arranging to clear line to restore normal traffic

Providing first aid to injured persons

Observing performance of Conductors and reporting to higher authority of any irregularity noticed

Maintaining statistics of passengers travelling in tram cars

Suggesting improvement in schedule to divisional authorities

Proficient in tallying tickets sold with recorded entry and tickets held by passengers travelling in trams to check and avoid over payment of fares or over travelling by passengers

Proficient in reporting complaints of poor service to higher authorities for action

Knowledge of providing first aid to injured persons

Proficient in maintaining statistics of passengers travelling in tram cars
