The tasks a Horse Carriage Driver is expected to perform include:

Driving two to four wheeled carriage pulled by one or more horses to transport passengers from one place to another, on hire or as a paid employee

Knowledge of harnessing and hitching horses to carriage

Proficient in driving carriage observing road signals and traffic rules

Proficient in loading and unloading baggage

Aware of settling and collecting fare from passengers when plying on hire

Basic knowledge of grooming and feeding horses, and cleaning carriage and stable in absence of stableman

Willing to perform laborious tasks

Ability tofollow instructions

Excellent communication skills
