Tram Depot Manager

The tasks a Depot Starter, Tram is expected to perform include:

Supervising work relating to allocation of operational staff

Ensuring trams are starting from depots according to timetable

Preparing allocation statement showing route, route symbol and vehicles assigned

Rearranging services during peak hours and periods of traffic congestion under instruction from higher authorities

Maintaining daily attendance report of Tram Conductors and Drivers and arranging substitutes for absentees

Submitting report of vehicles turned out, route covered, etc.

Proficient in preparing allocation statement by obtaining vehicle numbers from engineering department for morning and evening turn out

Well-versed in maintaining daily duty rotation board, weekly offs, leave and absentee statements of Tram Conductors and Drivers

Adept at assigning Drivers and Conductors for duty to appropriate vehicles according to requirements of each vehicle

Proficient in announcing crew and vehicle numbers as per stabling plan and ensuring that vehicles turn out from depot at scheduled time

Well-versed in ensuring that trams display appropriate route, route symbol and destination boards

Well-versed in forwarding lost items handed over by Conductors, Drivers or passengers to lost property office at headquarters

Proficient in taking special measures during disturbances or abnormal conditions

Knowledge of taking special measures during disturbances or abnormal conditions

Ability to focus for long hours

It is a desk job

May need to handle a team

Local travelling is not a part of this job role

Part-time work and contractual jobs maybe available in some cities

Working hours

Working hours are 9/10 hours everyday for 5/6 days a week

For freshers INR 8,000 to INR 10,000 per month
