Service Engineer, Field Engineer RAC, RAC Technician

Minimum Preferably 8th standard pass

Certified training for Field Engineer RACW (programme aligned to ELE/Q3105 released by Electronics Sector Skills Council of India)

Minimum 2 years as field technician for 8th/9th standard pass

The tasks a Field Engineer RACW is expected to perform include:

Providing installation of refrigerator, air conditioner and washing machine

Providing after-sales service on multiple appliances

Interacting with customers

Diagnosing the causes of malfunction of appliances

Rectifying minor problems

Replacing faulty modules for failed parts

Recommending factory repairs for bigger faults

Knowledge of different types of air conditioners and differences in their operation and functioning

Proficient in method of air conditioning, its use and functioning of sealed system

Knowledge of basics of types of refrigerants, use of different brazing sticks, types of brazing torches, types of fluxes

Well-versed with basic electronics

Knowledge of fundamentals of electricity

Proficient in calculation of energy consumption of appliances

Equipped in repairing dysfunctional air conditioner, wiring

Knowledge of hazards, their causes and prevention

Familiar with functioning of various electro-mechanical parts of the appliances

Familiar with energy ratings and other products of the company

Working hours

Working hours are 8/9 hours every day for 5/6 days a week. This may vary from company to company
