The tasks a Preservative Filler, Machine (Can & Preservation) is expected to perform include:
Tending machine that automatically dispenses brine, oil, salt or syrup into containers of food products prior to lidding or capping
Starting machine and turning valves to allow flow of solution
Feeding or guiding containers onto conveyor that carries containers under dispensing nozzles
Adjusting flow of solution or material to optimum volume
Removing broken jars from conveyor
Depositing broken jars in waste receptacles
Filling machine reservoirs with dry salt, oil, brine or sugar solution as required
Skilled in handling the filling machine manually
Knowledge of canning or preserving
Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
Skilled in using the manuals of the packaging machine
Proficient in troubleshooting
Will be updated
