Minimum ? Graduate, preferably

Certified training for Export Executive (programme aligned to AMH/Q 1602 released by Apparel Made ? Ups Home Furnishing)

Preferably 1 - 2 years of work experience in export department

The tasks an Export Executive is expected to perform include:

Planning and co-ordinating the international shipment of goods

Negotiating with a variety of people, such as shippers, agents and vendors during the course of their work

Having excellent customer service skills in dealing with customers/buyers

Preparing and managing shipment related documents

Interpreting the export financing methods and terms of payment

Handling the Central Excise/Customs Clearance

Handling all the regulations, procedures and documentation

Ensuring shipping compliance

Managing export marketing operations

Analysing foreign trade logistics

Knowledge of nature of logistics and supply chains shipping compliance guidelines garment specifications

Knowledge of packing standards and procedures

Knowledge of invoicing instructions and framework of export marketing management

Skilled in export promotional strategies and export marketing procedure/processes

Basic knowledge of impact of technology: internet marketing

Knowledge of functions of the export department

Skilled in foreign exchange risk management

Knowledge of foreign currencies and conversion

Familiar with documentation formalities relating to export transactions

Basic knowledge of export financing methods and terms of payment

Knowledge of Central Excise/Customs Clearance like regulations, procedures and documentation

Knowledge of export marketing procedures and documentation

Skilled in planning for the export and marketing operations

Proficient in analyzing the logistics options for shipment

Training in export marketing procedures and documentation

Good analytical skills

Good communication skills

India is the second largest producer of textiles and garments in the world with an enormous raw material and manufacturing base. This industry accounts for almost 24per cent of the world?s spindle capacity and eight per cent of global rotor capacity. In the near future, India's apparel exports to developed markets are expected to increase considerably. India has the potential to increase its textile and apparel share in the world trade from 4.5 per cent to eight per cent and reach US$ 80 million by 2020. So, this sector will have a lot of demand for Export Executive in the present as well as in the future.
