Minimum ? Graduate degree in any discipline

Certified training for Service Advisor (program aligned to ASC/Q 1602 released by Automotive Skills Development Council)

1-3 years for ASDC Service Advisor Level 6 certificate or Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration

5?8 years for all other qualifications

The tasks a Service Advisor is expected to perform include: Managing customer relationships and workshop promotion activities

Handling customer complaints

Estimating the time & overall cost required to carry out repairs, maintenance and service activities required for a vehicle Confirming the cost estimates and time schedule with the customer prior to commencing work

Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance

Ability to estimate time and material cost

Ability to create documents required on the job Ability to diagnose problems in the vehicles

Knowledge of standard operating procedures for servicing, repair and replacement of various auto parts/ aggregates Knowledge of warranty and service contract terms and conditions Knowledge of safety and health policies and regulations Basic reading and writing skills

Knowledge of MS office

Postgraduate Degree in Business Administration

B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical/Electrical/Automobile engineering
