Certified training for Sales Consultant (Pre-owned Vehicles) (programme aligned to ASC/Q 1003 released by Automotive Skills Development Council)

A fresher can apply if he/she is a ASDC Sales Consultant (Pre-Owned Vehicle) Level 6 holder or has a Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Business Administration

Up to 3 years for other qualifications

The tasks a Sales Consultant (Pre-Owned Vehicle) is expected to perform include:

Following potential leads and managing vehicle sales

Communicating with potential buyers to understand their needs

Delivering the sales pitch to potential buyers

Scheduling test drives for customers

Responding to all customer queries

Explaining the finance and insurance facilities available to the customer

Assisting in the valuation of the refurbished vehicles

Skilled in interacting with customers

Proficiency in handling telephonic queries

Knowledge of organizing various promotional events

Knowledge of technical and performance specifications of the vehicle

Proficiency in handling customer queries

Knowledge of the cost and service aspect of the vehicles

Knowledge of how to calculate the road cost of the vehicle

Basic knowledge of all promotional schemes offered by dealers

Familiar with the documents required by customers to complete a sale

Familiar with the process of customizing vehicles for customers

Knowledge of inspecting the vehicle to assess its condition

Knowledge of the financial and insurance services available to customers

Knowledge of competitor products and policies

Ability to maintain a valid driver?s license

On the job training for ASDC Sales Consultant (Pre-Owned Vehicles) Level 6 certificate holders

Postgraduate Degree/Diploma holder in Business Administration

Excellent communication skills
