Minimum Bachelors degree in Business Management

Preferably minimum 3 yearsrelevant experience in wholesale trade

The tasks a Sales Supervisor, Wholesale Trade is expected to perform include:

Supervising wholesale business of any commodity in a particular area of specified zone

Contacting businessmen and taking stock of available business in the area

Directing Representatives or area Salesmen to contact prospective retail businessmen

Advising stockists and distributors to supply goods as required and maintaining registers of the sales effected

Supervising the work of Representatives or area Salesmen to popularise and promote business

Undertaking advertisement and publicity drives and looking into complaints of service and defective or poor quality of goods for improvement

Informing head office of market trends and of defects or complaints noticed in products, suggesting improvements to avoid adverse effects on business

Submitting prescribed returns and reporting performance of juniors and subordinates to head office for service benefits or otherwise

In-depth knowledge of wholesale trade and its products

Knowledge of market trends, price lines, competitors, demand and supply

Thorough knowledge of the area of work

Working knowledge of wholesale trade sales procedures

Ability to supervise the work of Representatives and areas Salesperson

Knowledge of advertisement and publicity drives

Knowledge of resolving complaints of service

Knowledge of managing financial and material resources

Expertise in developing and implementing learning strategies
