The tasks a Computer Security Specialist is expected to perform include:
Regulating access to computer data files, monitoring data file use, and updating computer security files
Entering commands into computer to allow access to computer system for employees who have forgotten their password
Reading computer security files to determine whether denial of data access reported by employee is justified
Modifying security files to correct error, or explaining that employee authorization does not permit access
Proficient in answering employee questions about computer security
Adept with modifying security files to add new employees, delete former employees, and change employee name, following notice received from computer user departments and personnel office
Knowledge of sending printouts listing employee data authorization to computer user departments to verify or correct information in security files
Well-versed with reviewing data use records and comparing user names listed in records with employee authorization to ensure that all employees who accessed data files were entitled for the same
Proficient in deleting data access of unauthorized users, and for users who have not used data for specified time

Current Trends of IT & ITeS Sector in India
In 2012, the Indian IT & ITeS sector crossed the US$100 billion milestone; it grew by almost 1,000 times in the last two decades on the basis of cost arbitration, skill availability and government support. The sector is estimated to grow at an 11.5 percent CAGR over 2008-2013 to reach US$108.4 billion. The IT & ITeS industry is expected to reach US$300 billion by 2020 driven by rising demand in domestic market, along with increasing IT Services exports. The CAGR for 2013-2020 is estimated to be 16 percent.
In the IT Exports segment, a large portion of the workforce is currently engineers and MCAs over 80%. The proportion of graduates of science and other streams engaged in software development is expected to show significant increase from about 5% to 10% currently to about 15% to 20%.The Indian IT and ITES Industry would record about US $ 220 billion in exports and US $ 60 billion domestically by 2022, totaling to about US $ 260 billion growing at a CAGR of 12.8%.
The sector provides indirect employment to about 9.5 million people. The sector is expected to employ about 5.1 million professionals directly in FY22 and exports are likely to continue to dominate. This would definitely lead to an increase in employment opportunities of Computer Security Specialist across towns and cities in India.
