Minimum Preferably Diploma in Civil/Mechanical Engineering

Certified training for Web Developer (programme aligned to PSC/-Q 005 released by Indian Plumbing Skills Council)

Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience

The tasks a Fire Protection Systems Design Engineer is expected to perform include:

Reviewing, inspecting and evaluating a building?s hydraulic fire fighting equipment

Reviewing the existing hydraulic fire fighting equipment for repair

Creating a detailed and thorough hydraulic fire fighting system of a building/structure

Managing the design work of various water systems

Guiding and assisting the Drafting Engineers to create an initial layout design

Following the health and safety requirements

Competency in site/system evaluation techniques

Knowledge of fire protection engineering methods and practices

In-depth knowledge of relevant safety and health codes and practices

Working knowledge of fire fighting equipment

Thorough knowledge of building codes and fire fighting system designing norms

Detailed knowledge of fire and related hazards

Understanding of manual and automatic fire detection systems, hydraulic principles related to fire fighting system designs, designing parameters, design techniques, manual drawing tools and design codes related to hydraulic fire fighting systems

Working knowledge of system design terminologies and software like Auto

CAD, Autodesk Revit, MS Office, etc.

Working knowledge of plumbing principles

Knowledge of various relevant calculations and measurements

Ability to create manual sketches following all the necessary regulations and codes

Knowledge of English or Hindi and other regional/local languages

Previous on-the-job training

Good communication skills
