Clarinet Crafter

The tasks a Clarionet Assembler is expected to perform include:

Making clarionets by assembling the mouth piece, shank, upper and lower pieces, bell and keys

Tuning it to the required pitch for the correct tone

Joining the upper and lower part of the body together

Fitting the keys and other attachments in the correct position

Fixing the reed to the mouthpiece through the reed holder

Testing the instrument and making changes, if necessary

Knowledge to assemble various pieces to make a clarionet

Well-versed in fine tuning the clarionet to get the required pitch for the correct tone

Proficient in collecting parts such as springs, pins, keys, reeds for making clarionets of the desired type

Dexterity of hands

Ability to repair used instruments

Knowledge of making and tuning flutes

Attention to detail

Ability to work independently

Diligent and hardworking

Ability to focus for long hours

It requires one to be on their feet

Need not handle a team

Local travelling is not a part of this job

Part-time work and contractual jobs are available in some cities

Work from home option is not available

Working hours

Musical instrument crafters usually work for 6 days a week and 8/10 hours everyday. This may vary from unit to unit

Shift system maybe available

Being self-employed is also an option. In this case, working hours and days are flexible
